Our Story
Les built custom homes in Florida before relocating and opening Custom Island Homes on the East End. The work here runs from kitchens and additions through whole-home renovations and ground-up houses, and the company has built on both the South Fork and the North Fork.
How We Work
Les is involved directly in every project. A construction manager is on site with the trades rather than checking in occasionally. Estimates are broken out line by line so homeowners can see where the money goes, and we work alongside homeowners and their architects rather than around them.
How the crew works
Every project runs through one accountable point of contact. The owner coordinates the trades, sets the schedule, and is on site to catch problems early rather than after they are built in. We work with a trusted set of subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, HVAC and finish work, and supervise their work as our own.
We keep job sites clean and safe, communicate clearly about what is happening each week, and treat your home the way we would want ours treated during construction. The goal is a build you can follow without having to chase anyone for answers.
